Ingredients (13)

15.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
1.00 onion — chopped
10.00 ml garlic — cloves, crushed
5.00 ml coriander — ground
5.00 ml cumin — ground
3.00 ml cinnamon — ground
3.00 ml turmeric — ground
500.00 g potatoes — peeled and cut into chunks
3.00 carrots — large, peeled and chopped
200.00 g lentils
1.00 Litres stock — beef
410.00 g tinned tomatoes
6.00 sausages — frankfurters, diagonally sliced

Method:

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the onion and garlic. Add the spices and fry for one minute.
Add the potatoes, carrots and lentils. Pour over the stock and stir in the tomatoes.
Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are cooked.
Add frankfurters five minutes before serving.
