Ingredients (10)

1.00 kg beef — shoulder
1.00 kg pork leg — (or blade bone), cut into large portions
1.00 chicken
2.00 sausages
250.00 g bacon — smoked
8.00 potatoes — medium, peeled and quartered
8.00 carrots — peeled, sliced lengthwise
4.00 turnips — quartered
1.00 cabbage — quartered
sea salt

Method:

Layer meats, sausages, bacon and vegetables in 2 large casserole dishes, sprinkling each layer with a little coarse salt.
Cover tightly with aluminium foil (shiny side in) and a lid and bake at 160 ºC for 2-2 1/2 hours, or until meats are tender.
