Ingredients (8)

8.00 chicken — pieces
stock cube — chicken
250.00 ml flour — cake
5.00 ml Baking powder
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
250.00 ml milk
1.00 eggs — lightly beaten
oil — for deep frying

Method:

Boil the chicken pieces in stock until done. Drain and leave in the fridge until cold.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. Add the milk and egg, mixing well. Leave the batter for about 30 minutes before using.
Heat sufficient oil for deep-frying in a saucepan. Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and fry until golden brown on both sides.
Drain on paper towelling.
Serve with a salad.
Serves 6-8.
