Ingredients (11)

500.00 g pasta — spaghetti
1.00 kg beef — cubes
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
oil
1.00 onion — finely chopped
410.00 g tinned tomatoes — Italian-style
15.00 ml fresh oregano
15.00 ml soy sauce
60.00 ml vinegar — red wine
300.00 g spinach — shredded
cheese — grated

Method:

Cook the spaghetti in rapidly boiling salted water until tender. Drain and
transfer to a serving platter. Keep warm. Season the meat cubes with salt and pepper and brown in a little oil. Remove from the pan and set aside. Sauté the onion in the pan fat until tender. Return the meat to the pan and add the tomatoes, fresh origanum (or use 5 ml (1 t) dried), soy sauce and red wine. Reduce the heat and simmer until the meat is tender. Add the spinach towards the end of the cooking time and simmer until tender. Spoon over the spaghetti and serve with grated cheese, if desired.
Serves 4-6.
