Instant trifle

  • 400
    sponge cake, cut into squares
  • 410
    youngberries or strawberries
  • 40
    instant strawberry pudding
  • 450
    cold milk
  • 250
    cream, stiffly whipped


Arrange the sponge cake squares in a bowl. Drain the fruit, reserving the syrup. Pour the syrup over the cake. Prepare the instant pudding according to instructions on the packet using the cold milk. Spoon pudding over the cake pieces and top with the stiffly whipped cream. Chill before serving. Serves 4.
