Ingredients (9)

250.00 g noodles
250.00 g bacon
1.00 onion — large, sliced
250.00 g button mushrooms — sliced
15.00 ml tomato paste
125.00 ml cream
2.00 ml sugar
5.00 ml oregano
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Method:

Cook the noodles in rapidly boiling salted water until soft. Drain and set aside. Fry the bacon until cooked and slightly crisp. Drain on paper towelling and chop. Mix with the noodles. Sauté the onion and mushrooms in the fat in the pan until soft and golden brown. Blend the tomato paste and cream and add to the onion mixture. Season with sugar and origanum and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for about 2 minutes. Add to the noodle mixture and mix. Serve hot as a light meal.
