Hot chocolate

  • 125
    boiling water
  • 10
    cocoa powder
  • 10
    sugar or sweetener equivalent to 10 ml sugar
  • 65
    low fat milk
  • 65
    skimmed milk
  • 2
    cocoa and sugar mixture


Pour the boiling water into a saucepan and dissolve the cocoa powder and sugar (if using) in it. Heat gently on the stove and add the low fat milk. When the mixture starts to bubble on top, stir continuously, using a whisk, until it boils, and then pour into a cup or mug. If using sweetener instead of the sugar, add and stir. Froth the skim milk in a milk frother. Pile onto the hot chocolate in the mug. Sprinkle with the cocoa and sugar mixture. Serve, and enjoy!
