Hot chicken wings

Yummy hot wings are always a welcome bite.

Ingredients (9)

3 Tbs maple syrup
1 Tbs pnp white wine vinegar
1 Tbs soy sauce
1 cup water
45 g treacle sugar
1 tsp dried chillies
1 cinnamon
1 star anise
1 fresh thyme — stick, PnP

Method:

Mix the marinade ingredients together in a small saucepan.

Bring to the boil and then remove from the heat. Allow to cool.

Stir in the chicken wings and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Remove from the marinade, braai until cooked through.

Just before serving, mix drizzle ingredients together.

Toss wings through drizzle and serve.

Two chicken wings per person, as a snack.
