Ingredients (11)

625.00 ml flour — cake
7.00 ml Bicarbonate of soda
5.00 ml fresh ginger
3.00 ml cinnamon — ground
2.00 ml cloves — ground
170.00 g margarine
250.00 ml brown sugar — soft
1.00 eggs
60.00 ml honey
water — cold
30.00 ml sugar — granulated

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 175 ºC. Sift together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream margarine and brown sugar, add egg and honey and beat until well combined.
2. Add sifted dry ingredients and form a soft dough. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Dip half of each into water and then into granulated sugar. Place sugar side up on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
