Honey and date walnut cake

    caramel brown sugar

    cake flour
  • 15
    ml
    baking powder
  • 150
    ml
    milk
  • 15
    ml
    honey
  • 2
    eggs, whisked
  • 100
    g
    walnuts, finely chopped
  • 100
    g
    dates, finely chopped
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 160 ºC (325 ºF). Line the base of a 22 cm square tin with wax paper and grease well. Beat all the ingredients, except the walnuts and dates, together using a food processor. Add the walnuts and dates and mix. Turn into the prepared tin, spread evenly and bake for about 45 minutes or until a testing skewer comes out clean. Cool for about 10 minutes in the tin before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Makes a medium-sized cake.
