Ingredients (9)

175.00 g butter — soft
220.00 ml caramel brown sugar
500.00 ml flour — cake
15.00 ml Baking powder
150.00 ml milk
15.00 ml honey
2.00 eggs — whisked
100.00 g walnuts — finely chopped
100.00 g dates — finely chopped

Method:

Preheat the oven to 160 ºC (325 ºF). Line the base of a 22 cm square tin with wax paper and grease well. Beat all the ingredients, except the walnuts and dates, together using a food processor. Add the walnuts and dates and mix. Turn into the prepared tin, spread evenly and bake for about 45 minutes or until a testing skewer comes out clean. Cool for about 10 minutes in the tin before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes a medium-sized cake.
