Ingredients (7)

1.00 stock cube — chicken
100.00 ml breadcrumbs — fresh
400.00 g beef mince
100.00 g pork mince
1.00 eggs — slightly beaten
5.00 ml fresh thyme
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Method:

Pour the chicken stock cube (dissolved in 100 ml boiling water) over the breadcrumbs and cool. Mix the remaining ingredients with a fork. Add the breadcrumbs and mix. Divide the mixture into 6 equal parts and shape into hamburger patties. At this point they can be frozen. Grease a baking sheet with oil and place the hamburger patties on it. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF) and bake for 7-10 minutes or until done. Serve with savoury white sauce (see recipe), fried onions and mashed potato.
Makes 6 hamburger patties.
