Guava tart

    baked pastry shell

    large orange, grated peel
  • 125
    guava or quince jelly
  • 125
    orange juice


Peel guavas and scoop out pips. Either use guava halves or slice each guava into thick crescents. Pack tightly into pastry shell (guavas will shrink). Sprinkle with grated orange peel and bake at 180 ºC for 25 to 30 minutes. Blend jelly with orange juice and bring to boil. Brush over guavas to glaze. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes more.
