Grilled mushroom schwarma

    onion, sliced
  • 30
    olive oil
  • salad ingredients to serve
  • 250
    assorted mushrooms, cut into chunks
  • 150

    freshly chopped origanum
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4
    pita breads

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and sauté the onion until golden brown.
Add the mushrooms and garlic and sauté for three to four minutes until tender.
Remove from the heat.
Add the origanum and season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Warm up the pita breads and slice open.
Place some salad ingredients into each pita and top with mushrooms.
Drizzle with tzatziki. Serve immediately.
