Glazed apple tart

1. Line flan ring or pie plate with pastry.
2. Arrange apple slices in pastry case, which should be chilled. Fill from bottom, overlapping each layer. Make sure that top layer is in a neatly arranged circle. Dust top with castor sugar and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 190-200 ºC, allowing apples to colour. Remove from oven and cool completely.
3. Remove flan ring. Brush with hot glaze and serve with freshly whipped cream.
