Ingredients (13)

1.00 onion — large, chopped
10.00 ml butter
10.00 ml oil
250.00 g beef mince — lean
250.00 g pork mince
100.00 ml breadcrumbs — fresh
1.00 carrots — grated
100.00 ml wine — dry white
5.00 ml salt
freshly ground black pepper — to taste
1.00 ml cloves — ground
3.00 ml coriander — ground
25.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped

Method:

1. Sauté onion in heated butter and cooking oil in a heavy-based saucepan until translucent.
2. Mix all ingredients lightly and shape into a 20 mm thick giant round burger on a greased baking sheet.
3. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes and grill under the element or over coals until golden brown, or bake at 160 ºC for 45 minutes.
4. Slice and serve with bread rolls
