SAUCE
200.00 g butter
10.00 ml cayenne pepper
3.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
5.00 ml garlic — salt
25.00 ml fresh parsley — finely chopped

Method:

Place all the sauce ingredients in a glass mixing bowl and microwave for a few minutes or until the butter has melted. Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Spray a 20 cm loose-bottomed ring tin with non-stick spray or grease well. Prepare the scone dough as described in the basic scone recipe. Roll the dough out on a floured surface until about 2 cm thick. Cut out circles, 5,5 cm in diameter. Dip the circles in the sauce and pack fairly tightly in the prepared ring tin. Place the ring tin on a baking sheet and bake for about 35 minutes until done or golden brown. Serve hot with the remaining sauce.
Makes a medium-sized loaf.
