Ingredients (11)

200.00 g butter
7.00 ml Bicarbonate of soda
30.00 ml golden syrup
140.00 g oats — rolled
140.00 g flour — white bread
210.00 g castor sugar
80.00 g dessicated coconut
50.00 g raisins — or dates, chopped
50.00 ml sunflower oil
20.00 ml sesame seeds
50.00 g almonds — or peanuts, chopped

Method:

Melt butter, then stir in the bicarbonate of soda and syrup.
Mix the dry ingredients and stir in the melted butter.
Press into a greased 20 x 24 cm baking tin.
Bake in a preheated 160 °C oven for 40 minutes or until golden.
Cut into squares or rectangles while warm and store in an airtight container.
