Ingredients (17)

SALAD
lettuce
6.00 cucumber — slices
6.00 tomatoes — wedges
3.00 carrots — peeled, spiralised
4.00 onion — cut into rings
2.00 mushrooms — sliced
1.00 celery stalks — sliced
1.00 green pepper — cut into strips
0.00 avocado — thinly sliced
3.00 black olives
15.00 ml fresh chives — chopped
DRESSING
30.00 ml oil
10.00 ml onion — finely chopped
30.00 ml walnuts — finely chopped
10.00 ml vinegar — brown
salt
freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Arrange all the salad ingredients on a small plate.
Heat the oil and sauté the onion until soft. Add the walnuts and fry gently. Do not overfry or the walnuts will become bitter.
Allow to cool.
Add vinegar and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve with the salad.
