French toast

  • 4
    extra-large eggs
  • 125
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4
    slices white bread, quartered
  • butter


Beat eggs, milk, salt and freshly ground black pepper together until well blended. Dip the bread triangles into the egg mixture. Heat butter until very hot and fry the bread until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve with maple syrup. Serves 2-3.
