2.00 tomatoes — peeled, deseeded
2.00 carrots — medium, scraped
1.00 onion — medium, finely chopped
1.00 bread — sliced, white, crusts removed and soaked in water
15.00 ml curry powder
7.00 ml salt
2.00 ml black pepper — freshly ground
750.00 g beef mince
5.00 ml Worcestershire sauce
7.00 potatoes — peeled, chopped
150.00 ml milk
2.00 ml Baking powder
0.00 sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200 ºC 400 ºF). Spray a 24 x 24 x 6 cm ovenproof dish with nonstick spray or grease well.
Process tomatoes and carrots in a food processor. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
Squeeze out excess water from the bread and crumble into the tomato mixture.
Add curry powder, salt, black pepper, mince and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon mixture into a prepared dish. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash. Add the milk and baking powder to make it light and fluffy. Season with salt and black pepper.
Spoon the potatoes on top of the meat mixture and spread evenly with a fork. Reduce the heat to 180 ºC and bake for another 40 minutes until done or until the potatoes are golden brown on top.
Serve with a salad.
