Easy sticky onion and mushroom chicken

  • 8
    chicken pieces
  • 1
    good quality balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2
    good quality soy sauce
  • 1
    punnet mushrooms, optional
  • 2
    red onions, finely sliced, optional


1 hour
Pre-heat oven to 170 °C.
Clean the chicken pieces and place in an oven-proof dish.
Slice the mushrooms in half and scatter the mushrooms and the onions over the chicken.
Mix the vinegar and soy sauce and pour over the chicken.
Bake  for 1 hour until the chicken is cooked and sticky.
During the hour, turn the chicken pieces once or twice so that the chicken is coated in the sticky sauce.
Serve with a baked potato and a green salad.
