Ingredients (9)

10.00 ml garlic — salt
10.00 ml cayenne pepper — powder
10.00 ml mustard — powder
10.00 ml dried mixed herbs
10.00 ml flavour enhancer
5.00 ml curry powder — mild
800.00 g hake — frozen fillets
oil — for shallow frying
soy sauce — or lemon juice

Method:

Mix together the first six ingredients. Skin the fish fillets while still frozen. Sprinkle the fish generously with the seasoning mixture and pan-fry in a little heated oil until just done and the fish flakes easily. Sprinkle with soy sauce or lemon juice just before the fish is removed from the pan and serve with savoury rice and a salad.
Serves 4-6.
