Ingredients (8)

14.00 chicken — wings
500.00 ml Buttermilk
120.00 g breadcrumbs — fresh
100.00 g cornflour
15.00 ml dried thyme
1.00 ml cloves — ground
salt and freshly ground black pepper
oil — for deep frying

Method:

Arrange chicken wings in a shallow dish. Pour over buttermilk, ensuring that each wing is well coated with buttermilk. Marinate wings for 12 hours in the fridge. Blend remaining ingredients, except salt, pepper and oil. Remove wings from marinade, season with salt and pepper and roll in crumb mixture. Arrange wings on a baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes. Deep-fry in oil until golden brown and done. Alternatively, grill chicken wings in oven until cooked and golden brown. Serve immediately.
Serves 4-6.
