Curry sauce with ginger ale

  • 1
    onion, finely chopped
  • 10
    ml
    cooking oil
  • 5
    ml
    mild curry powder
  • 15
    ml
    chutney
  • 20
    ml
    cake flour
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 200
    ml
    ginger ale
 

Method

 
Sauté the onion in the heated cooking oil until translucent. Add the curry powder and stir-fry for about a minute more. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well, reduce the heat and simmer for about 3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve with basic meatballs (see recipe). Makes about 200 ml sauce.
