Creative carrot and apple

  • 200
    carrots, thinly sliced
  • 20
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2
    pizza bases (see recipe for basic pizza dough)
  • 25
    basil pesto
  • 125
    mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 2
    apples, thinly sliced
  • 250
    feta cheese
  • 5
    fresh marjoram, chopped


15-20 minutes
1. Sauté carrot slices in butter for 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, drain and set aside. 2. Spread prepared pizza bases with basil pesto. Sprinkle mozzarella cubes over the top. Arrange the carrot and apple slices on top of the cheese, alternating them like roof tiles. 3. Sprinkle feta cheese over the carrot and apple and bake in a preheated oven at 200 ºC for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and season with freshly ground black pepper and marjoram. Makes two 32 cm pizzas.
