Creamy fruit pots

  • 2
    small bananas
  • 8
    large strawberries
  • 125
    thick cream
  • 125
    natural yoghurt
  • 5
  • 1
    orange or large lemon, finely grated peel
  • caramel brown sugar or soft brown sugar


Slice bananas and strawberries into medium-thick pieces. Place in 4 small heat-resistant ramekins or 1 larger oven-to-table dish. Set aside but don't chill, as dish may crack on contact with heat. Mix cream, yoghurt, honey and peel together and chill until needed. Preheat grill. Place generous dollops of cream mixture on top of fruit. Sprinkle liberally with sugar and grill briefly to caramelise sugar. Serve immediately.
