Ingredients (10)

15.00 ml butter
250.00 g bacon — cut into strips
250.00 g mushrooms — sliced
5.00 ml garlic — pepper
5.00 ml fresh parsley
500.00 ml cream
300.00 ml peas — cooked
5.00 ml cornflour — mixed with water
500.00 g pasta — spaghetti
parmesan cheese

Method:

Sauté bacon in butter until crisp, then add mushrooms and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add seasoning and herbs, mix well and cook for 30 seconds before adding cream and peas. Bring to the boil, simmer for 4-5 minutes then thicken with cornflour if necessary. Cook pasta according to instructions on the packaging, drain and place on a warm serving dish. Pour sauce over pasta, toss lightly and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Serves 4.
