Condensed milk and Turkish delight ice cream

Time 20 minutes plus freezing time


  • 250

    can evaporated milk, well-chilled
  • 397
    can full cream condensed milk
  • 10
    vanilla extract
  • 12
    blocks rose Turkish delight, chopped


Beat the cream until thick and stiff.
In a separate bowl, beat the evaporated milk until thick and foamy.
Fold the two creams together and stir in the condensed milk and vanilla extract.
Pour into a metal container and push the pieces of Turkish delight into the mixture.
Then freeze for 2 1/2 hours or until set around the edges but soft in the centre.
Beat with electric beaters, then freeze for three to four hours, or overnight, until firm.
Serve in chocolate-dipped sugar cones (make them by dipping each cone halfway up into melted dark chocolate, then stand them upright in glasses until set).
