Coal-roasted corn

  • 4
    fresh green mealies or sweetcorn
  • 30
    melted butter


Fold back (but do not remove) leaves and strip mealies of their silk. Close leaves around cobs again. Immerse in cold water for 30 minutes, then braai over hot coals for 20 to 30 minutes. Brush occasionally with melted butter until kernels are smoky and delicious. Turn frequently to ensure even cooking.
