100.00 ml butter — soft
100.00 ml brown sugar — soft
360.00 g flour — cake
20.00 ml Baking powder
5.00 ml salt
30.00 ml sugar
30.00 ml butter
1.00 eggs
190.00 ml water
100.00 g brown sugar — soft
10.00 ml cinnamon — ground
100.00 ml raisins — seedless

Method:

Preheat the oven to 220 ºC (425 ºF).
Cream the butter and brown sugar and grease the base and sides of a 31 x 23 cm ovenproof dish.
Sift the cake flour, baking powder and salt together. Add the sugar and mix. Using your fingertips, rub in the 30 ml butter until well mixed.
Beat the egg and water together and add to the flour mixture. Mix gently with a spatula until just blended.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a 1,5 cm thick rectangle.
Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Sprinkle over the dough and roll the dough up lengthwise.
Cut the roll into 2 cm thick slices. Arrange the slices, cut sides facing down, in the prepared dish.
Stand for about 15 minutes before baking for 20 to 25 minutes or until a testing skewer comes out clean when inserted into the dough.
Turn out immediately on a large serving platter and serve with butter.
