Ingredients (8)

250.00 ml figs — dried
250.00 ml sherry — dry
85.00 ml cream
450.00 g dark chocolate — chopped
130.00 g butter
100.00 g hazelnuts — chopped
10.00 boudoir biscuits
50.00 g cocoa powder — sifted, for dusting

Method:

Place figs in a bowl with the sherry and allow to soak for a few hours.
Place cream, chocolate, 45 ml sherry from figs and the butter in a saucepan over a low heat and stir until melted and combined.
Place the figs, hazelnuts and biscuits in a mixing bowl and pour over the chocolate mixture, stir to coat.
Spoon the mixture into a greased 20 cm loaf tin.
Place in the fridge for three hours or until set.
To serve, remove the bar from the tin, dust with cocoa and cut into slices.
