Chilli-fried panisse with cream cheese

    chilli oil
  • 4
    slices white bread, halved
  • 125
    cream cheese
  • extra chilli oil for drizzling (optional)


Beat eggs in a bowl. Heat chilli oil in a saucepan. Dip bread in egg and fry in heated oil until golden. Pile on a plate and top each slice with a dollop of cream cheese. Drizzle with extra chilli oil, if using, and serve. Serves 4.
