Ingredients (12)

sunflower oil — for frying
1.00 onion — large, chopped
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
10.00 ml mustard seeds — brown
500.00 g chicken breast fillets — sliced
250.00 g button mushrooms — sliced
30.00 ml wholegrain mustard
5.00 ml mustard — powder
30.00 ml brandy
125.00 ml stock — chicken
170.00 ml cream
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Heat oil in a large frying pan. Sauté onion and garlic until glossy.
Add mustard seeds and cook until they begin to pop, then add chicken and toss to sear.
Add mushrooms and stir-fry for about 1 minute.
Stir in wholegrain mustard, mustard powder and brandy. Add stock and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Add cream and heat through (do not boil).
Season to taste and serve with pasta or rice.
