Ingredients (7)

MARINADE
2.00 red chilli — deseeded and chopped
1.00 onion — peeled, grated
30.00 ml fresh ginger — peeled and grated
45.00 ml honey
30.00 ml soy sauce
30.00 ml oil
4.00 chicken breast fillets — skinned, sliced

Method:

Combine marinade ingredients in a glass bowl.
Thread slices of chicken onto sticks and place in a wide, shallow container.
Pour over marinade and marinate for at least two hours, or preferably overnight.
Place satays on a greased baking tray and grill under a preheated grill for six to eight minutes, turning to expose all sides to the grill, or grill over coals.
