Cheeseless mushroom and bacon pizza

Ingredients (9)

sunflower oil
350.00 g bacon — rindless back, chopped
15.00 ml mustard — seeds
400.00 g black mushrooms — thickly sliced
4.00 pizza bases — plain
2.00 spring onions — bunch, chopped
125.00 ml sun-dried tomatoes — in oil, drained
salt and freshly ground back pepper
fresh oregano

Method:

Oil a large frying pan lightly. Fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from pan with a slotted spoon and place on absorbent paper to absorb excess oil.
Using the same pan, add a little extra oil if there isn’t enough bacon fat, and heat mustard seeds. As seeds begin to pop, add mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes. Remove from stove.
Mix mushrooms, bacon, spring onions, tomatoes and seasoning.
Spoon mixture onto plain pizza base and bake in a preheated 200 ºC oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
Sprinkle origanum over and serve.
