Cheese parathas

  • 500
    brown bread flour
  • 2
  • 350
  • 250
    ricotta cheese
  • melted butter


10 minutes
1 Sift together flour and salt. Add sufficient water to form a soft dough and knead lightly for about 10 minutes. Cover with a damp towel and leave to rest for 3 hours. 2 Divide the dough into 8 balls, roll each out into a 1 cm-thick round and top with crumbled ricotta. Fold in the dough and roll out into 1 cm-thick rounds again. 3 Place the parathas on a hot grill or fry in a saucepan with melted butter for 4 to 5 minutes, turning once. Serve spread with melted butter. Cheese parathas are especially good with vegetable curries. Serves: 4 Preparation time: 40 minutes, plus resting time Cooking time: 10 minutes
