Cheese loaf with fresh asparagus and ham

  • 1
    cheese loaf, sliced into thick slices
  • soft butter
  • 1
    bunch fresh asparagus, about 25-30, cooked and kept warm
  • 100
    Parma ham slices or any other thinly sliced ham
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350° F). Heat the bread slightly in the oven and butter lightly. Wrap three asparagus in each slice of ham and place on top of the buttered slice of bread. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve immediately. Makes about 9 - 10 slices.
