Celebration trifle

  • 1
    Swiss roll loaf, sliced
  • 410
    fruit cocktail
  • 1
    long life custard
  • 160
    red jelly
  • 125
    long life cream
  • toasted coconut or chopped nuts (optional)


1. In a glass bowl arrange Swiss roll slices at the bottom and sides. 2. Spoon fruit cocktail onto Swiss roll. Pour custard over fruit. 3. Make jelly by dissolving it in 500 ml (2 cups) boiling water and allow to set. Break set jelly by stirring with a fork and spooning over custard. 4. Whip cream until soft peaks form and spread over custard. 5. If desired, decorate top with toasted coconut or chopped nuts. 6. Refrigerate overnight.
