Ingredients (9)

6.00 cabbage
3.00 sausages — Russain-style, sliced
oil
1.00 onion — chopped
1.00 green pepper — deseeded and diced
2.00 tomatoes — peeled and diced
250.00 ml pasta — shells, cooked
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
cheddar cheese — grated

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Boil the cabbage leaves in a little salted water till just tender, but not broken. Drain and line the hollows of muffin tins with the leaves.
Fry the sausages in a little oil till lightly browned. Remove from the pan and sauté the onion and green pepper in the same pan till tender. Add the tomato and simmer till soft. Add the sausages and the pasta and mix. Turn the mixture into the cabbage baskets and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Heat in the oven till the cheese has melted and the dish is warmed through.
Serves 6-8.
