Ingredients (13)

450.00 g beef — fillet, rump or sirloin
15.00 ml sesame oil
2.00 garlic — cloves, chopped
2.00 ml fresh ginger — finely chopped
250.00 g broccoli — broken into florets
16.00 spring onion — chopped
SAUCE
15.00 ml soy sauce
5.00 ml wine — rice or dry sherry
5.00 ml sugar
15.00 ml hoisin sauce
10.00 ml cornflour
salt and freshly ground black pepper
30.00 ml sesame seeds

Method:

Slice meat thinly against the grain. Place in refrigerator.
Heat wok, add oil and allow to heat briefly. Add garlic and ginger and stir-fry for about 1 minute.
Add broccoli and spring onions and stir-fry for a further minute. Push vegetables up side of wok.
Add beef and brown quickly. Add all sauce ingredients, except sesame seeds. Stir to thicken slightly.
Toss all ingredients together, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately, with rice.
