Braaied fish

  • 3
    whole fish scaled and gutted
  • 100
    olive oil
  • coarsely milled black pepper to taste
  • 3
    lemons, quartered
  • salt or other seasoning of your choice to serve


Rub fish inside and out with olive oil and pepper. Place whole fish on a grid, high above hot coals, and braai for 30 to 35 minutes, turning carefully after about 15 minutes. Place fish on a large platter and serve with quartered lemons and salt or other seasoning of your choice.
