Ingredients (9)

360.00 ml flour — cake
5.00 ml baking soda
5.00 ml salt
250.00 ml butter — softened
190.00 ml sugar
190.00 ml brown sugar — firmly packed
5.00 ml vanilla — essence
2.00 eggs
200.00 g dark chocolate

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 190 ºC. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
2. Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla essence together in a large mixing bowl. Beat until creamy. Slowly add the eggs, then gradually add the flour mixture until well blended.
3. Chop chocolate into small chunks, and stir into the dough. Using a tablespoon, drop rounded scoops of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet. Spread the biscuit dough quite far apart as it will spread to almost double the dough size.
4. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, depending on whether you prefer moister, chewier cookies, or drier ones.
