Black forest trifle

    Nestlé condensed milk
  • 125
    lemon juice
  • 500
    smooth cottage cheese
  • 350
    chocolate Swiss roll or any leftover chocolate cake
  • 100
    cherry or Van der Hum liqueur
  • 150
    Maraschino cherries
  • 50
    almond flakes
  • 1
    chocolate Flake


Whip the condensed milk and lemon juice until thick. Add the cottage cheese and mix until smooth. Place a layer of chocolate cake in the bottom of a glass bowl and pour a third of the liqueur over. Place some of the cherries on top and sprinkle with some of the almond flakes. Spoon a third of the cottage cheese mixture on top and sprinkle with a little chocolate flake. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients have been used, ending with a cottage cheese layer. Decorate with chocolate flakes and cherries. Chill until needed. Serves 8.
