Ingredients (10)

400.00 g beef — strips
30.00 ml oil
30.00 ml soy sauce
1.00 red chilli — finely chopped
10.00 ml lemongrass — fresh, chopped
400.00 g pasta — tagliatelle
575.00 g tomato pasta sauce
3.00 carrots — julienned
125.00 g button mushrooms — sliced
45.00 ml fresh basil — chopped

Method:

1 Mix together the beef strips, oil, soy sauce, chilli and lemon grass and set aside for 10 minutes.
2 Boil pasta in sufficient water until cooked. Drain and toss in a little oil to prevent pasta from sticking together.
3 Heat a nonstick frying pan and add marinated beef. Stir-fry over high heat for 2 minutes, then add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve spooned over hot pasta.

Preparation time: 15 minutes, plus marinating time
Cooking time: 30 minutes
