Banana and sesame seed bread

The joy of baking banana bread makes it acceptable to buy over-sized bunches of beautiful bananas.

Ingredients (9)

4 bananas
250 g sugar
3 eggs
100 g flour — cake
150 g flour — bran
1 tsp Baking powder
1/4 cup sesame seeds — black
200 ml sunflower oil
1/2 cup yoghurt

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

Grease a loaf tin.

Mash the bananas in  a bowl.

Mix the dry ingredients together.

Beat the eggs and the sugar until light and fluffy and doubled in volume.

Add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined.

Pour into the loaf tin, even put the surface and bake in the centre of the oven for 50-60 minutes.

Check the banana bread at 50 minutes by inserting a skewer/knife into the centre, if it comes out clean then the banana bread is done, if not, bake for 5-10 more minutes.

Serve in think slices with lashings of butter.
