Baked mushrooms

    large fresh brown mushrooms
  • 28
    baby tomatoes

    garlic butter

  • fresh origanum leaves, to garnish
  • 125
    shaved ham

    Parmesan shavings


Preheat oven to 180 ºC. Place mushrooms and tomatoes in an ovenproof dish. Dot with garlic butter. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a knife tip. Alternatively, fry the mushrooms and tomatoes in the garlic butter in a frying pan. Top 4 inverted mushroom caps with tomatoes and pesto and garnish with origanum. Top remaining mushroom caps with ham and Parmesan cheese. Serve with crusty bread and a salad.
