Baked stuffed camembert

Recipe from: February 2012

Ingredients 5

  • 1x
    250g Camembert in a balsa wood box
  • 5
    rashers of bacon
  • Watermelon and ginger konfyt
  • Use any preserved fruit such as figs / ginger/ apricots.
  • Black pepper


Using a large knife cut the cheese in half transversely.

Grill the bacon and arrange it on one half of the cheese.

Top with a generous amount of the preserved watermelon and ginger konfyt or your choice of preserved fruit.

Top with the other half of the Camembert.

Place back into the box and bake for 15 – 20 minutes at 180°C.

Serve with some crusty health bread and a fresh salad.
