Assorted crostini

  • 1
    French loaf, sliced
  • 65
    each butter and oil, mixed


Brush both sides of bread slices with butter and oil mixture, using a pastry brush.
Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 180 ºC oven for 10 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown, turning once.
Top toasts with your chosen topping, drizzle a little olive oil over and grill briefly to heat through.
Serve warm or at room temperature.

Crumbled blue cheese with fresh or canned pear slices.
Avocado and freshly grated Parmesan cheese with chives.
Salami strips with sage.
Ripe brie cheese with green fig preserve.
Tomato salsa, pitted olives and fresh herbs.
Goat's milk cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil.
