Apricot and hazelnut pizza

    golden syrup

    melted butter

    readymade pizza base
  • 125
    smooth cream cheese

    apricots, drained

    hazelnuts, toasted

    brown sugar
  • whipped cream or ice cream to serve


30 minutes
Heat the golden syrup, spices and lemon zest in a small saucepan. Cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes, then remove the spices and set aside. Spread melted butter over the pizza base. Spread with the cheese and then top with the apricots and hazelnuts. Pour 50 ml of the syrup sauce over the apricots and sprinkle with the brown sugar. Bake in preheated 220 °C oven for 20-30 minutes until base is crisp. Remove from the oven and slice. Top each serving with a little of the remaining syrup sauce and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
