Ingredients (11)

385.00 g pie apples — tinned, drained
4.00 figs — preserved, sliced
5.00 ml mixed spice — ground
3.00 ml cinnamon — ground
30.00 ml brown sugar
25.00 ml syrup — preserved, fig
40.00 ml butter
TOPPING
150.00 g oats — rolled
50.00 ml desiccated coconut
50.00 ml butter — melted
30.00 ml Goldcrest Pure Honey

Method:

1. Layer apple slices in a greased pie dish and top with slices of preserved figs. Sprinkle with the spices and brown sugar. Drizzle with fig syrup and dot with butter.
2. Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle over the fruit. Bake in preheated 180 ºC oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until topping is golden. Serve warm with whipped cream or custard.
